Perycles member Michael Mäs contributed to the second Digital Democracy Camp at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The Digital Democracy Camps are barcamp-style seminars open to all KIT students, offering the opportunity to engage intensively with the challenges and opportunities of democracy. The second camp focused on e-participation and how digital tools can help students develop better democratic institutions. The debates benefited from contributions by leading representatives of KIT, students from a Systems Design seminar who developed apps to enhance e-participation, and talks by Axel Kistner and Andreas Nitsche (also Perycles).
The camp is documented here: https://www.hoc.kit.edu/digital-democracy/english/28.php
The camp also identified aspects that students considered critical for the implementation of e-partcipation tools at their campus. Please find them here: https://www.hoc.kit.edu/digital-democracy/english/228.php
