Our Data Protection Commissioner can be contacted at datenschutzbeauftragter∂kit edu or by ordinary mail with “Die Datenschutzbeauftragte” (the data protection commissioner) being indicated on the envelope.
When you access our website, the following information about you is automatically stored in the form of server log files:
– your web browser
– your operating system
– your IP address and port
– the accessed website or parts thereof
– the website from which you are visiting us
– the access time
These data cannot be referred to certain persons. These data will not be combined with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR and the purpose of the data collection is the operation, maintenance and protection of our systems. The data is generated by default every time a connection is established with a web server on the Internet. If an error occurs while using our website or we suspect an attack or an abusive use, these data serve to reproduce the scenario that occurred. Your IP address is also used to determine the number of visitors to our website on a monthly basis. All data collected in this way is stored for a period of 6 months and then deleted.
According to Article 4 No. 1 GDPR, personal data is all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. In this data protection declaration we inform you about the scope, purpose and legal basis of the processing of personal data as well as about the duration of the storage and what rights you have in this regard.

Social media
To protect your privacy rights, we do not embed social media feeds on its website. Accordingly, no information about you is transmitted to third parties (such as X or Facebook) when you use our website.

When you contact us by electronic mail, the data given by you (your email address and, if applicable, your name) will be stored by us to respond to your request. The data arising in this connection will be erased as soon as storage will no longer be required or processing will be restricted, if legal obligations to retain the data exist.

In addition, you have the right to complain about the processing of your personal data by us with a supervisory authority.
In the case of manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, we can charge a reasonable fee. Otherwise, information will be provided free of charge (Article 12, par. 5 GDPR).
The right to receive your data stored with us in a machine-readable format (“data transferability”)
If you would like to assert your rights, simply send us an email to the contact address ( send an e-mail ). In addition, you have the right to report any suspected breach of the GDPR to the responsible supervisory authority at any time.
In the case of reasonable doubts concerning the identity of the natural person asserting the above rights, we may request the provision of additional information necessary to confirm the identity of the data subject (Article 12, par. 6 GDPR).
Further processing for another purpose
There is no further processing of the data subject’s data for purposes other than those mentioned in this data protection statement. If the controller intends to further process the data for another purpose, he will inform the data subject or, if necessary, obtain consent for this processing.
Transmission to recipients in third countries or international organizations
A data transfer to bodies in countries outside the European Union (so-called third countries) or to an international organization will not take place and is not intended.

Automated decision-making in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
